In the area of Place Vendôme on rue Saint-Honoré you can find a miniature jewelry boutique filled with absolutely unique pieces. Here you can meet not only connoisseurs of jewelry exotics, but also famous couturiers and other “star” visitors. We are talking about a real jewelry box, the owner of which is the incredible Lydia Courtelle.
History of the brand.
A desperate collector and a keen traveller, the boutique owner is also a passionate antiquarian. Lydia Courteille Jewelry Company was founded in 1987. At that time the main specialization of the designer was selling vintage and antique jewelry. The collection offered a huge selection – more than seven thousand exclusive items.
Having decided that just selling jewelry is not enough for self-realization, Lydia Courteille makes a decision to start creating her own jewelry collections. She tried her hand at it for the first time in 1996.
A fairy of colors by Lydia Courteille.
Warm jade, incredible opal, snow-white ivory, bloody coral and delicate turquoise – each showcase in a specific color palette and theme. Each jewelry piece is a different story. Lydia Courteille signature style is a harmonic combination of good taste and good humor with a bit of provocation.
The jewelry by the jeweler is extremely diverse. One can find representatives of flora and fauna, magic symbols, signs of the zodiac and other lovely things. At that all jewelry items offered for sale can be perfectly combined both among themselves and with other accessories.
Stones to be used to create jewelry, Lydia Kurtel always chooses herself during her travels around the world. The indispensable companion of the designer is a small notebook in which she makes sketches of her future jewelry, inspired by the next place.
The “zest” of Lydia Courteille jewelry is the use of interesting materials and the presence of animalistic details. Jewelry with gorgeous stones can sing the familiar representatives of the animal world – fish, insects, bats, monkeys. Or it can embody one of the unfamiliar magical images borrowed from one of the ancient civilizations. Often the products are decorated with four-leaf clover and the queen of flowers – rose.
Each new Lydia Courteille collection arouses a storm of emotions and attracts a lot of attention from both the press and connoisseurs of unique jewelry. That’s why Courteille boutique with its magical content is never empty: a lot of people want to share her unique jewelry fantasies and creations with the creator.
