Madstone
The history of Madstone began in 2010, when journalist and fashion columnist from New York Kerry Halpern decided to create her own jewelry brand. The new brand immediately found many fans among jewelry connoisseurs.
The peculiarity of Madstone products is a skilful combination of exotic colors, dark metals and stones of unusual shape. Such an approach to jewelry creation became commercially successful, women liked the unusual jewelry making it possible to look bright and attract admiring looks of other people.
The second stage of development
In 2012 the daughter of the brand’s founder Callie joined Madstone jewelry development. Collaboration of the two generations allowed to expand the range of fans of the brand and the line appeared affordable products distinguished by modern design and suitable for the youth audience.
The year of mother and daughter work was very productive: the brand became a permanent member of Couture Jewelry Show, was represented at exhibitions in the U.S. and Europe, the brand became known in the world capitals of fashion – Paris and London.
In 2013 Carrie released a bold collection inspired by Greek mythology. The jewelry was a reflection of the essence of Greek goddesses and gods. The intricate shapes and precious carved stones gave the pieces an especially luxurious look.
In 2014, Madstone jewelry brand presented the Three Graces transformer ring at the Couture Jewelry Show. Depending on the wearer’s mood, the ring can look either double or single. The unusual jewelry was recognized in the WJA Gem Diva Awards category at the 2015 AGTA Spectrum Awards.
The new 2015 collection was inspired by the changing seasons. According to Carrie herself, the jewelry in the collection conveys the effect of a spring drip, when the snow melts and winter gives way to spring colors. To achieve the desired effect the designer asymmetrically placed stones resembling water drops in the jewelry.
The secret of success
Kerry Halpern’s experience in the fashion industry contributed greatly to the success of Madstone. For many years the designer of jewelry worked as a fashion observer, visited shows in different countries and personally watched the work of fashion designers. Carrie Halpern used clothes designers to create her collections: just as fashion designers use different fabrics to create unusual shapes, Carrie uses different precious metals and stones to embody bold looks.
Today the jewelry brand offers transformer rings, kaffes, bracelets and necklaces in white and yellow gold. Diamonds and colored gemstones are used as inserts.
The creative tandem of Madstone jewelry creators allows offering new unusual solutions every season. Each new collection is distinguished by its uniqueness, which conditions the growth of brand’s fans all over the world.
