Shaun Leane is a famous and extremely fashionable designer from Britain. As a child, he dreamed of creating jewelry, and that dream came true. The desire to create beauty led him to the famous in the whole London quarter of jewelers – Hatton Garden – where the young man began to master the subtleties of jewelry making.

How it all began

In the beginning, it is the restoration of antique jewelry. But simultaneously with the accumulated experience, the ambitions of a young man grew. And since 1955 Shaun Leane works closely with the fashion house of Alexander McQueen. Here the future star gets a unique experience working out “jewelry” for unusual collections of the flamboyant master.

The success of his jewelry, sparkling at the shows of McQueen, inspires the master to create his own collection. It was 1999 – the Signature collection. In the same year a new brand appears in the world – the Shaun Leane jewelry company.

In 2005 the designer releases a special diamond collection timed to the twentieth birthday of his company. It was the masterpiece performance of jewelry from this collection that brought him frantic popularity. He is a four-time “Jeweler of the Year” and among his fans are very famous personalities: Kate Moss, Cameron Diaz and Sarah Jessica Parker.

The designer works with various metals and stones, but gold, platinum and noble diamonds are still his favorites. Gold is an incredibly strong metal, capable of taking any shape, with all the ease of processing. The goldsmith prefers white, yellow and pink colors. Diamond has always been and will always be a symbol of luxury.

The designer gets his ideas from the ancient Art Deco and Art Nouveau jewelry collections. The collections also have hints of the distant Victorian epoch.

Famous works of the jeweler

The designer’s favorite piece of jewelry is the brooch. The most famous jewel is the White Ligth brooch of surprisingly fine work. The branches and leaves of this chic piece of jewelry are studded with diamonds of the smallest size imitating snow. It took Shaun Leane a whole year to create his masterpiece. White Ligth was introduced to the world by Kate Moss, who appeared with the jewelry at one of London’s private parties.

Another famous Shaun Leane jewelry is a necklace in the collection timed to the 150th anniversary of Boucheron. The jewelry is a collection of gold flowers framed by sapphires and diamonds in classic white and not quite standard brown color. The center of the necklace is adorned with a unique purple sapphire. As the maestro himself said, he was inspired to create such an unusual piece by the eyes of the Countess of Castilleon, who can change color from sky blue to vivid purple.
