Sculptural engagement rings in the De Beers collection, created by independent designers

Yesterday, diamond giant De Beers unveiled a collection of ten engagement rings created with ten independent jewelry designers. Among the contemporary brands whose designers participated in the project are Pamela Love, Marla Aaron, Almasika and Wwake. The collection was called Ten/Ten – each of the jewelers came up with one model, and each of them was released in a limited quantity of ten pieces.

The result is sculptural jewelry that takes its cues from both the De Beers heritage and contemporary fashion. The starting point in the design was, of course, the diamonds. Before the work began, De Beers gave each of the project participants one of the diamonds, mined in Botswana in compliance with all ethical standards, for inspiration.
