These Bea Bongiasca rings look like baby rings – they’re actually gold

In less than a year, bright, toy-like jewelry has become hyper-popular among junkies and late millennials. The most popular category in this niche is rings. However, most often designers of such jewelry use plastic in their works, which makes their products even more childish. But Milanese designer Bea Bongiasca decided to take a different path.

The jewelry by her brand Bea Bongiasca seems frivolous only at first sight – it’s all about bright colors and whimsical shapes. But under the bright enamel there is nine-carat gold, and the stone that is placed on the Bea Bongiasca ring is at least semiprecious.

“I think what people are looking for right now is carefree and happy. These decorations remind them that after the difficult period we’re all going through, things will definitely be good again.”

Bea explains the ideology of her brand.

Bea Bongiasca jewelry is made in Pesaro, on the Adriatic coast, where Bea found a workshop that not only masters traditional jewelry craftsmanship to perfection, but also flirts with modern technology.

“Pesaro is not part of the classic jewelry trio of Valenza, Vicenza and Arezzo, but I decided to make my jewelry there, in a jewelry atelier that occasionally works on a 3D printer. It’s just the combination of old and new that I love.”

Bea says.

Bea launched her brand back in 2013, and already in 2017 she was included in the European Forbes rating. They are sure to find their client – and we are sure it won’t take long, because everything bright that you can wear on yourself is on trend right now. Bea herself explains it this way: “At the moment, colored jewelry is in great demand because it brings joy. It’s exactly what people want – something happy.”
